Tim McGraw recently admitted at a recent L.A. press junket for Country Strong that he was so burnt out from the music business that he actually considered quitting his music career.

After doing some "soul searching," the country star revealed, " I realized that I wasn't even close to where I thought I could get, so I'm ready to turn the aftterburners on now."

Nearing the end of his contract with Curb Records, McGraw claims that he is also at a good point in his career and a change has been "a long time coming," noting that "twent years with any label, I think, is too much, so unless you're really having a great relationship...I think it's a good time for me to go out and see what's out there for me."

With a few movie roles under his belt, more details are emerging about Tim's next venture in his acting career.

There are rumors of an action thrilled called Safe House, starring Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds. The story line follows the only surviving agent of an attack on a CIA safe house (Reynolds) as he tries to get a lethal prisoner (Washington) to a second safe house before being taken out by violent forces that want them both dead.

McGraw will play a CIA agent who is the mentor to Reynolds' character, but he may not be all he appears to be.
