Get to know Austin Lucas, Adam Hood and Brent Cobb - we're sure you'll be seeing these boys around from now on!
Thrilled to be on his first festival tour with the legendary Willie Nelson, Indiana native Austin Lucas shares with host Beth Brinker some interesting tidbits of his journey that have formed who he is an an artist.
The son of a songwriter, Austin's father, Bob Lucas, is an accomplished musician in his own right, having earned songwriting credits on two of Alison Krauss' albums. Although he admits he has "bluegrass in his blood," Austin rebelled from his traditional upbringing in his teenage years to dive into the world of punk rock.
After running out of angst around the age of 21, Austin shifted gears to focus on his acoustic style and songwriting. He also lived in Prague for 5 years - an experience that made him feel "more connected to my family, culture and past, all of which affected the direction of my songwriting."

Also hailing from musical roots, singer-songwriter Brent Cobb shares that he has many relatives who are musically gifted, including cousin Dave Cobb, who produced Waylon Jennings' son, Shooter Jennings' first album. Surrounded by music from an early age, there was no doubt Brent would thrive in the industry.
After a long journey of moving from Georgia to Los Angeles and back, Brent had the pleasure of opening for Capitol Records recording artist and fellow Georgian Luke Bryan, who took interest in Brent and generously made a handful of Nashville-based introductions. Brent has been writing ever since.
Having already penned songs for country acts like Kellie Pickler, Eli Young Band, Luke Bryan and The Oak Ridge Boys, the road to success has already begun for this country boy!

Thrilled to throw down with his fellow Bluebird 'brothers and sisters' of Country Throwdown, Adam Hood lets go of his mystique for a few minutes to talk to us about the tour.
Being on the road is nothing new to Adam, who has been on tour almost every day of the year before he took a break this past year to "rejuvinate" and focus on writing. Ready to hop on the bus with the other Bluebird artists, Adam isn't stressed out about sharing space. "You learn to live in close in close quarters with people really, really easily when you're traveling," Adam insists.
Excited to be on the road with fellow Alabama native Jamey Johnson, Adam shares, "I've crossed paths with all of the guys from his band for a long time and we have a lot of mutual friends, but this is our first time with actually everybody on tour."
Still shocked that he's on a tour with such amazing country music artists, Adam goes on to say, "It's going to be really cool to get on the road with a lot of people I've been looking forward to meeting."
