Country star Craig Campbell recently held a heartwarming contest around his debut hit single "Family Man."

The singer established the Give A Hand To The Family Man contest, encouraging fans to write an essay in 150 words or less about why their family man (or woman) is an everyday hero. The contest ran on CMT as well as country radio stations.

The winner of the CMT contest was awarded with their rent being paid for an entire year, while each winner of the country radio contest was awarded with having their bills paid for a month.

"Now I know what it's like to struggle, and I know there are a lot of families out there struggling in these economic times. So it was important to me to reward those heroes and make a difference in their lives," Craig Campbell shares.

This video footage shows how Craig helped fellow "Family Men" by going to meet and play for families and covering their bills.
