Lady Antebellum and Eminem lead the nominations for The 2010 American Music Awards with five nominations each.
The nominations were announced yesterday in Los Angeles by emcees Taio Cruz and Demi Lovato. Lady Antebellum is nominated for Favorite Band, Duo or Group in the Pop/Rock and Country categories, as well as Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist, Breakthrough Artist and Favorite Country Album.
Eminem's nominations include Artist of the Year, as well as both Pop/Rock and Rap/Hip-Hop genres for Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Album.
Carrie Underwood and Jason Aldean scored two nominations apiece.
Numerous country artists including Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift, Zac Brown Band and Rascal Flatts also received a nod.
