I was discharged from the US NAVY at the end of my contract this year, so I'm home for the holidays. However, my are friends/shipmates have been deployed overseas since March this year until next year. If I won, I'd send the cd and guitar to someone on the ship, because even though they're at work, they still deserve to have Christmas.

I dont know that I do deserve it. I am a 46 year old single mother who has a so much. My oldest Curtis Kelehar is in the navy, he has beautiful wife and two children. My middle son Joel Kelehar is in the air force, he has a beautiful wife and one child and another due in February. He just got back from Afghanistan. My youngest in attending Radford University. I put myself through college and graduated at 40 with my degree in K-6 Education and at 43 with my master's. I have an abundance of student loans I will be paying for quite some time. I am just beginning to learn guitar. My dad has lent me one to use. Like I said I am not sure I deserve it but I would love to have it. I have so much love but no guitar.

He supports our troops and gives them encouragement overseas and that is soooo very important to me! The sound of Toby's voice is like velvet, speaking OR singing ... music to my ears, either way! I totally adore Toby for his completely UNSELFISH lifestyle ... ALWAYS giving to others who need assistance and support! Toby's music is always soul-stirring, no matter the "mood" of the music ... She is an honor student at her High school. She has always made me feel better. If I was sick she would lay with me,get me crackers,soup and if I would cry she would hug me tight and tell me everythings gonna be ok. She is 16 yrs old now and she has been the best daughter I could ever ask for . She was excellent with helping me raise her little brother. Toby is one of those Americans that you know exactly where he stands. That is rare these days. There is so much "trying to make too many people happy" or "politically correctness" that no one knows where people stand anymore. His life, his music, his attitude represent true Americans. The time he spends with our troops is heartwarming. There are a lot of us Americans that feel like he does and we are fortunate to have Toby represent us by doing what he does.

I first would like to say thank you for giving us this opportunity. I have no hardship case to present, for I feel I have already been blessed many times in life. I met my wife in a unique circumstances, she came over one night to say her father thought it was time we pick a date. I guess he thought we were to serious, but maybe thought I wasn't. Well I looked at the calendar and told here to tell him Friday August 13th, 1976 and the rest is history.

After 35 years lots has transpired, I have always loved music and in the last 3 or 4 years been trying harder at writing music and recording some songs. I play an acoustic and like what it brings me. My wife has always been my best critique or blessing. I have been working on a personal song of my life about my father.

Since stumbling upon Yallwire and listening to the various artist and acoustic guitars. I have noticed the difference in sounds, I like the sounds of the guitars Toby plays, now I don't know if this guitar that is being offered is the same brand or not. But that is my reason for entering this contest, too win the guitar and find out.

I don't know anything about the song writers for country music artist, when I get my song completed and recorded to the way I like it. I have thought about offering it, my wife thinks I need to do it, but I feel someone like Toby could make this song live. But that is just my thoughts, but I have also learned that nothing is impossible, you just need to seek it.

Nobody "deserves" to win. But I'd like to win because I'm a big fan and I'd sure enjoy playing a guitar that he had signed.

My whole year has sucked so far, my husband got sick on new years eve and passed away in may .. Someone has passedaway every month since may that I have been close to . So many other things have happened to me , so I'm thinking maybe my turn has come ..And besides all that I LOVE TOBY ...

It has been a rough year, and this would pick my spirits up. And the cd could help me get into the Christmas spirit.

I am a huge country fan, and a little down on my luck since I retired from the Army. winning this guitar would go a long ways towards making this Christmas one to remember!

Dear Toby,

All my life my Dad played guitar and sang in a Country Band. Then he ended up applying and owning his own recording label "Tawas Records". He cut many records and even had Elvis Presley's drummer on some of them. He used to sometimes brag about that fact! Ha! Then his CD came out and he actually made #60 on the billboard chart! He even got asked to leave Flint Michigan and move to Nashville TN and record for the RCA label. How exciting was that! But My Dad... "Harry Chestler" alias "Hank Chess" couldn't leave his wife Norma Jean and his five children and the security of his job with General Motors in Flint Michigan. So he did the best he could. Eventually working on the Alaskan Pipeline for years. Never quite the same as the Music Business! He got older and things happened. He lost his leg to an anorism? Then in 2007 he died in my arms after refusing food..cigarettes and pills..he had already gave up drinking booze years earlier when he got where he just couldn't handle it any more. His CD is titled "Gone but not forgotten". Now I see his songs selling on the computer by a complete stranger. He knew before he died but he said you have to have a fortune to stop thieves from using your songs you wrote and performed! Well Toby... he loved you and all you stand for..so God Bless America and God Bless you! My Dad is gone..but not forgotten by me! Sincerely Linda Chestler Hyde Trathen! I would love love love to have this, My husband and Son-in-law were both Marines, my Daughter was in the Army, my Son is and has been in the Air-Force for years now, and all my Uncles were also in the service!!!! Toby Keiths song, Boot in your *** stirred America to support our troops and to stand up for them and to fight here on the homefront for them!!!! I adore that song the most, but Love all the music this man sings, it is Tough country with a side of tenderness and our whole family loves it, from 88 yr old Great great Grandmother to 16 month old Granddaughter and everyone one in between!!!!! i would love to win this for my my son we have a rough last of the year we lost our home in a storm and have no hope ingetting our home back anytime soon now his father who is just 38 had a stent put in last friday and now i am sitting here in the hospital today waiting for a heart cath again not even a week later so we have had a hard time and this would make his day and mine to get to see him get it i know my family will be ok i serve a good GOD!!!!

It's hard to say why I deserve the guitar but I can tell you why I want it. I had to get rid of my guitar a few years back and it was my sidekick, so to speak. I can not afford to buy another so I would love to replace it with one from my #1 entertainer in the world. I have all his albums and movies and his is the only concert I go to each year. It would be an honor to have it.

I would love to have this for my grandson that is 14 years old and has been a diabetic since he was 5 years old and he goes around singing your songs all the time.He can't do sports cause of being a diabetic he gets legs cramps really bad so we are teaching him how to play the guitar since he loves your music so much, but then again so do I.Thank you for letting me inner.Good luck to all...

I feel I deserve to win because I am 46 yrs old, have never been to any concert, probably will never get to see Toby Keith Live (but would dearly love to). So listening to his CD's (love his "Politically Correct" songs)in the car turned up as loud as possible is as close as I'll get to seeing this very talented man in person, but I can give a signed guitar a great big hug in appreciaton to his work and talent. I am also learning to play the guitar and the one I'm learning on has a sorta broken neck (came from pawn shop, didn't know what I was buying so I got ripped off) and it makes it very difficult. If I win I'll learn 'Trailor Hood" and "As Good As I Once Was" first. Plus I've never won anything before in my life and I would take special care of the CD and Guitar.
