Born in Dallas, TX, country singer Steve Holy was the youngest of eight and showing signs of a performer would often entertain his grade school classmates with his imitations of Conway Twitty. At 19, he auditioned for the local Mesquite Opry and later earned a spot on Johnny High's Country Music Revue where he eventually won Entertainer of the Year. This brought the attention of legendary country producer Wilbur Rimes (and his daughter LeAnn), who encouraged Holy to shop himself around Nashville. Curb Records signed the young singer/songwriter in 1999 and his Wilbur Rimes-produced album, Blue Moon, was released in late 2000. Brand New Girlfriend, Steve's most popular song to date also has a delightful video which was released in 2006.

From Lastfm:

Steve Holy (born February 23, 1972 in Dallas, Texas) is an American country music artist, blending 50's rock and roll, pop and traditional country. Steve sites country greats Charlie Rich, Mickey Gilley and John Conlee as his influences, but is quick to add that Elvis, Sam Cooke, and a variety of Doo-Wop bands play a major role in his vocal style and on-stage persona.
